My Learnings of the Company and the Industry✨💡
Whilst working at Whyte & Mackay, I had the opportunity to work with knowledgeable professionals who provided me with brand-new information about the company as well as the spirits industry.
During the first week of the Internship, all the interns attended several brand induction meetings presented by the Brand Managers. They each gave us an overview of their brand which I found very interesting as each brand is unique.
Whyte & Mackay's portfolio is made up of a variety of well-known brands such as Jura, Tamnavulin, Fettercairn, The Dalmore and The Woodsman, along with many more!
Have you ever heard of these brands? Let me know in the comments below!

The Dalmore🦌🥃
The Dalmore is the most premium brand on the portfolio in competition with brands such as Glenmorangie or The Macallan!
Fun fact: The Dalmore 49-Year-Old Luminary No.2 'The Rare" recently sold for $95,000!!

As well as learning about the brands on their portfolio and different ways to enjoy the spirit, I also had the opportunity to attend brand planning and market research sessions with my team.
As a business and marketing student, I found it equally as fascinating to learn about current activity within the industry and discuss competitors' activity.
This opportunity has opened my eyes to a whole new industry which I have fallen in love with and I'm keen to find another role within the industry in the future that will allow me to continue learning!

DeleteInteresting read, and very well presented, particularly brands that aren't as known in the drinks industry, compared to the Dalmore, and other known blended brands. What i did particularly like was the nice cheeky suggestions of cocktails on offer .
ReplyDeleteIt's both educational, informative and suggestive to both the Connoisseurs of many brands and the average consumer.
Thank you for sharing your views!
DeleteIt sounds as though you really enjoyed your internship Sara which is fantastic! I hadn’t heard of the Woodsman but like the sound of it. My favourite whisky cocktail is an Old Fashioned. I became a whisky fan when my daughter was lucky to have an internship at Whyte & Mackay and remain a fan!
